After my looooooooong weekend, all I can think about is how the whole “Snuggie” concept is not that bad of an idea. It all started on Friday. After work, my sister, mom, and I went to a local nail boutique and got pedicures. I perused through several colors, finally landing on an OPI color called “Makes Men Blush” – until my pedicurist told me that I was too boring and needed to spice my choice up, since it is almost summer and we need to show our toes off. PUH-LEASE. But like the fool that I am, I opted for a $5 increase and chose to get a french pedicure instead. Whatev, at least my feet are in better shape than before!
Saturday was dedicated to softball, starting with a wake-up call at 4:50am. We traveled up to Everett and the hubs played 3 games… which resulted in a one day tournament instead of two. We were fine with it, because it allowed us to spend some time with the hubs cousin and wife. So fun! We had a blast at their home. There was a fabulous dinner, conversations, and the night ended in a funny movie – a very nice way to warm up and relax. Unfortuantely, I did not go to bed until 11pm… only to wake up at 5am the next morning.
We left Mount Vernon (his cousin’s town) around 9:30am on Sunday and were home sweet home before noon. Sister came over and we had a very busy day, working on our tye-dying and sewing projects. I made a pretty fab apron for a friend, as well as got some pretty awesome tye dye results on the onesies for lil’ love… hopefully I’ll be able to take some pics later on this week to share (sister already did).
At any rate, I never really got my completely relaxing weekend that I have become accustomed to during this pregnancy… so I can’t help but think that the lady on the couch with her snuggie sounds like perfection right about now.
